Toyota Cavalier

toyota-cavalier-in-sendai

I'm not exactly a car buff, but this caught my eye when I was going through Sendai. This is the first time I'd seen one of these cars that were re-branded to avoid restrictions on exports.

Why not just get a Toyota. It would probably last longer.

It's funny... They have weird compact Japanesey Chevys here that would never sell back in the States, but a car model that was originally American gets sold as a Toyota. WTF?

I think it's the status of having something foreign - like owning a Yugo.

We have a nice 2003 Toyota bought new and would get another if we had the extra cash.

We're car shopping now, and have narrowed our choices down to a Toyota or a Honda.
