About Me/This Blog
August 1, 2006

I'm an American who has been living here for more than 5 years now. I lived in Tokyo for 4 years before moving to northern Japan with my wife to take a job teaching children in an elementary school. I've been taking classes the past two years and I think I've learned more about graphic design and web design in my procrastination time than I have about education. There's a few more things about me in this meme.
I have a few blogs you might want to check out:

Stopping by to say hi and thanks for stopping by my blog. I have a friend also lives in Japan and is teaching elementary school. Not sure where at though.
Thank you for stopping by as well!
Hello Thomas , stumbled in quite by chance . Read your article on Japan ; quite interesting . My father had lived in Osaka & Okinawa for 6 years during the late 50's & early 60's ( he was a merchant seaman & had ended up saving 60 people from a shipwreck - as he was an excellent swimmer ) . The people he saved felt so obligated to return the favor to him for saving their lives , that they invited him to remain with every one of them & their families for the time which he remained there ( all of 6 years ) . My father had a difficult time in leaving Japan , as he became very close w/ all of the people who had shared their hospitality & friendship with him , however he had to come back home . He would always tell me of his adventures & tales of Japan , and had advised me that if I were ever to visit a foreign country during my life , to ensure that Japan would be at the top of my list of places to visit . As of yet I have not made the journey , and do not know if I ever will. However , I would surely love to someday. You are quite fortunate to be living in such a country where " order " is always in effect , in such a world of " disorder ". A friend of mine was there ( Osaka ) 2 months ago , she would send me photos of all of the places she would go to on a daily basis . I was so envious ! the first thing I believe I would do if I ever went to Japan , would be to ride the train all day ! :) I have never seen trains & subway stations so beautiful & so clean ! I hope you remain there for a long time Thomas :)
Wishing you much future success within all of your career & life endeavors .
